On Monday, Mrs Tucker was preparing the evening meal for the family, when she was called away from the kitchen by a very talkative door-to-door salesman.
As the talking continued Mrs Tucker noticed a distinctive smell of burning, she immediately hastily returned to the kitchen to find it smoke filled and flames leaping from the chip pan. There was nothing she could do but close the door, make sure everyone was out of the house and call the fire brigade.
During Monday night Mrs Tucker and family had spent a very anxious night at a relatives house.
At 9am Tuesday morning Mr Tucker contacted her Insurance Company to report the incident, all the details were recorded and then Clover were contacted and introduced to Mr Tucker, a Tuesday afternoon appointment was arranged for our Surveyor to call and assess the extent and the cost of the reinstatement works which was confined to the kitchen
By Thursday the works schedule had been prepared, estimated by Clover and submitted to the Insurance Company for processing
On receiving approval from the Insurance Company, work to the property commenced on the following Wednesday, a brief description of the works as follows:
As promised, 4 weeks later the works were certified, signed off and completed to Mr & Mrs Tuckers total satisfaction, and the family moved back into their property - minus a deep fat chip fryer.
